OPST GEAR

 

OPST has a variety of vendors set up for gear and equipment swimmers need for practices and to compete.  Please review the below to determine what equipment your swimmer needs according to their practice group as well as a few recommended vendors.

 

PRACTICE EQUIPMENT

All swimmers should have:

  • Appropriate competition-like practice suit (i.e. one-piece suit, no board shorts, no rash guard shirts)
  • Practice cap, goggles (and back up pair), kickboard and a water bottle at all practices.
  • Any training kickboard will work and are available through Swim Outlet and Amazon.
  • Mesh Bags are recommended to keep equipment together and for ease of carrying to and from practices.
  • No equipment will be stored at the pool.

Team veterans - please check the condition/size of equipment you may already own and order as needed. If you have any questions please ask before ordering.

COMPETITION EQUIPMENT

TEAM SUIT 

  • Swimmer must compete in an all black, Arena brand suit for all swimming competitions. Styles can vary. 
  • All suits are available through Metro Swim Shop. While you will place your own order online, please refer to this order form for information on each suit as well as sizing measurements. Please measure your swimmer and refer to the size charts when placing an order. For help with Arena suit styles please ask.
  • Please click HERE to see an info-graphic on all of the different female styling of suits available.
  • If your swimmer is expressing interest in a tech or tech-style suit, please refer to guidelines on the OPST website under Team Information Tab 12 & Under Tech Suit Policy to ensure you are purchasing the correct suit.

COMPETETION CAP

  • Swimmers should wear the current team caps when competing and have a spare cap in their bag.
  • ALL swimmers will be given one (1) personalized double set per year (if both break, contact Jennifer Wills to purchase a plain version).
  • Please use these caps for competition ONLY and purchase different caps to use for practice.

GOGGLES

  • Swimmers should have at least two pairs of googles.

PARTNERS

ARENA - OPST has a Team Parnership contract with Arena. Because of this, please try to purchase Arena brand swim suits and gear only.

 

VENDORS

METRO SWIM SHOP (OPST link) - no login needed. Please make this your first stop as this is the only vendor where sales count towards our arena contract minimum. They provide suits, gear and more.

SWIM OUTLET (www.swimoutlet.com/opst) - When you shop in our OPST specific store, the team receives 1% back from all purchases. You may receive additional discounts if you create an account.
