HISTORY

OPST was established in 1975 as a non-profit entity organized for the purpose of providing competitive swimming opportunities for youth between the ages of 5 and 18. We completed our first competitive summer season in 1976, added a year-round component in 2010, and became a part of USA Swimming in 2014. OPST has been a complementary aspect of the Ocean Pines Community since its founding. We are constantly growing, training young people to be strong swimmers, and maintaining a well-rounded competitive swim team.

OPST is a diverse community of coaches, swimmers, and families dedicated to helping young athletes realize their full potential in and out of the pool.  Our goal is to build character and dedication through teamwork and competition in a safe and positive environment.

VISION STATEMENT

OPST strives to instill a life-long love of swimming and build competitive USA swimming on the Eastern Shore where every swimmer has the opportunity to compete at the highest level in a safe and inclusive environment.
